Self care, Leisure & Domestic activities of daily living

Working with individuals to identify how performance and independence can change through illness or accident.  How activities are completed can become more challenging therefore support and guidance can be helpful.

Occupational Therapy can help to identify a persons most valued roles and begin to offer rehabilitation strategies to maximize independence within these practical tasks.

Sometimes equipment may be the fix needed to undertaking tasks differently or an analysis of the task may offer alternative ways to undertake the activity.  Either way trying to establish what is needed can be overwhelming and guidance can be given to reduce frustrations and ultimately increasing independence.
