An assessment can be completed within your workplace, ranging from a conversation with colleagues to a full task analysis of the work undertaken. This can be requested by an employer to support reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act.
The main focus and outcome of this is to analyse the specifics of the job which can not be gathered from the job description alone and to establish a rehabilitation action plan.
The meeting can be either formal or informal and instructed by the individual, whilst working with the employer to gain a balance of support, complying with the organisations policies and procedures. This assessment can often compliment the return to work process, offering specific tailored advice which the employers often responds to positively.
