Reasonable Adjustments and Modifications

The equality  Act 2010 mandates that 'Employers must make reasonable adjustments to make sure workers with disabilities, or physical or mental health conditions, aren’t substantially disadvantaged when doing their jobs.'

Some employers may have limited experience of disability, or ill health, so a specialist professional as a point of contact can be reassuring.

Often employees and employers just need a creative conversation around the tasks and be open to exploring methods to gain the desired outcome by 'tweaking' the method in which they are completed, often subtle changes are all that are required.
