Initial Vocational Needs Assessment

A vocational Assessment looks at detailing an individuals background with their employment roles.  This assessment is usually held though conversations with the individual and/or family for approx. 2 hours to establish a persons medical and employment history, highlighting any changes to a persons physical, cognitive, psychosocial abilities following an accident or illness.

Once this is established recommendations can be agreed to provide further steps to decided the persons realistic future employment pathway.

This can be completed by a single professional or as an interdisciplinary professional team, drawing on neuropsychological support, disability employment advisors in addition to Occupational Therapy which is known as 'Brains@work' Crisis Response Service
